Blind Pass Bridge Replacement Sanibel - Captiva Islands, Lee County,
Florida
Jenkins & Charland, Inc., as prime consultant, provided bridge design,
permitting and construction phase services for Lee County Department
of Public Works for a new reinforced concrete bridge spanning Blind
Pass to connect Sanibel Island and Lower Captiva Island. The 500'
bridge has 12' lanes in each direction, a 5' pedestrian walkway, and
a 5' bicycle path on each side.

- 460' long 2-lane temporary pre-engineered timber bridge using
pre-cut, creosote pressure treated #1 structural timbers (coastal
region Douglas fir)
- 462' long x 48' multiple simple span prestressed concrete beam

Bonita Beach Road Widening - Bridge Replacement, Bonita Springs,
Florida
Jenkins & Charland, Inc. provided bridge design services for Lee County
Department of Public Works to expand a two-mile stretch of 2-lane
road that included two existing bridges, into a 4-lane divided arterial
with landscaped median and utilities upgrade. This Project won an
APWA National Award.

- 150' 3 span, 4-lane bridge with median at Fish Trap Bay (AASHTO
girders)
- 25' single span, 4-lane with median at Little Hickory Bay (cast-in-place
